Coffee in one click. Pictures, graphic designs, short films and commercials wholly dedicated to the worldwide beloved aromatic and evocative drink
In past centuries, artists and scholars such as Rimbaud, Voltaire, Goldoni, Parini, Cezanne and Renoir paid homage in their works of art to coffee and to the vast universe of cultural and social meanings involved in a coffee bean or in a cup. Now the art world has a chance to treasure the artistic heritage of the past and expand it with new techniques and digital art forms that exponentially broaden the range of artistic language, thus giving birth to new and extraordinary forms of expression and sharing.
The ANTHARESCOFFEEPRIZE Digital Arts Competition offers the chance to draw connect past and future, inner sphere and sharing, impression and expression making Coffee the outright protagonist of the event. The Competition gives a key role to digital visual formats; these works are to focus on Coffee in its broadest meaning: pictures, graphic designs, short films and commercials paying homage to a coffee bean, the drink, a cup.
The second edition of ANTHARESCOFFEEPRIZE takes part in the context of the 6th edition of Triestespresso Expo 2012, one of the main fair events specialized on the espresso coffee industry, which is taking place in Trieste in October 25th-27th, 2012 and will welcome hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of professional visitors coming from 85 countries. The panel is made up of international artists, art professors and scholars and leading figures of the Coffee Business who will vote the prize-winner works of art and reserve the right to bestow special mentions on deserving works or signal works of special interest. The award ceremony will take place during the event Triestespresso Expo 2012 and the winners of the competition will have the chance to display their works within the international kermesse, which is going to represent an outstanding opportunity of visibility and sharing.
Entering the contest is free; the entrants are expected to send a maximum of three works which are to be forwarded by September 15th, 2012.
