Coffee in one click. Pictures, graphic designs, short films and commercials wholly dedicated to the worldwide beloved aromatic and evocative drink
In the past centuries, artists and scholars such as Rimbaud, Voltaire, Goldoni, Parini, Cezanne and Renoir paid homage in their works of art to coffee and to the vast universe of cultural and social meanings involved in a coffee bean or in cup. Nowadays, the contemporary artistic world has a chance to treasure the artistic heritage of the past and enforce by means of new techniques and digital art forms that exponentially broaden the range of artistic language, thus giving birth to new and extraordinary forms of expression and sharing.
The ANTHARES COFFEE PRIZE Digital Arts Competition offers the chance to draw the ideal line between past and future, inner sphere and sharing, impression and expression making Coffee the outright protagonist of the kermesse. The Competition will have works of visual art in digital formats play a key role; these works will have to be fully focused on Coffee in its broadest meaning: pictures, graphic designs, short films and commercials paying homage to a coffee bean, the drink, a cup.
